Equine- Emergency Fracture Management
Equine orthopaedics is an evolving field. Over the last several decades, advances in surgical techniques and implants have improved the prognosis for both survival and athleticism following a fracture in horses. Appropriate initial management and timely referral can have a profound influence on the complexity of treatment and prognosis for horses that have sustained a fracture.
This seminar will cover initial field management and current surgical treatment options for major orthopaedic injuries in the horse.
Please note: this seminar will be held concurrently with the "An approach to Small Animal Fracture Repair" seminar on 23 May, 6.30pm at UQ Gatton Campus. Registration available here.
