Pets for Life Adoption Program
UQ’s Pets-for-Life adoption program gives unwanted pets a second chance in life while at the same time helping Clinical Studies students learn about handling skills, animal behaviour and preparing for procedures.
Adopting a Pet-for-Life is very rewarding as one of our new families recently said after adopting ‘Mishka’ the cat,
“The program is about changing lives, not only of those animals whose destiny has been to save others, but about improving the quality of your own household, bringing into your home the kind of emotional and physical happiness that only a beloved pet can offer”
Our Pets-for-Life adoption program will match the needs of the pet with the right family. So if you are interested in meeting one of our pets please call 5460 1868, leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.
We are based at UQ’s Gatton campus and open Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Adoption Fees: $350.00 for dogs and $250.00 for cats. All fees go back into caring for our Pets-For-Life animals.
All dogs and cats are;
- health checked,
- de-sexed,
- vaccinated,
- microchipped,
- wormed
- flea treated
All our Pets-for-Life adoption animals are kindly supported and fed by Advance Pet Food.
The Clinical Studies Centre is helping to contribute to solving the unwanted and abandoned pet issue through education and each time a dog or cat is adopted we save another life.
