Dr. Reis and his team carried out an entomological study in 145 municipalities in the state of Bahia to identify vulnerable areas of Chagas disease transmission. His team identified the triatomine species in which they performed tests to detect Trypanosoma cruzi.

Dr Clark introduces us to methods that are useful for inference and prediction from multi-response time series data. He will showcase how the resulting forecasts can be communicated through a dynamic online dashboard.

Mohammad Mahmudul Hassan will speak about the Avian influenza viruses (AIV) as significant transboundary zoonotic pathogens that concern both animal and public health. He suggests a One Health approach to successfully controlling and limiting avian influenza outbreaks in Bangladesh.

In this talk, speaker Dr. Konstans Wells will present some of his previous research on disease spread within single species and among human-wildlife interfaces. He will discuss insights and shortfalls for better predicting and managing pathogen spillover and host shifting in a time of global change.

Dr Luis Furuya-Kanamori will present preliminary results from a collaborative clinical trial that investigates the immunogenicity of fractional dosing to reduce the cost of Japanese Encephalitis vaccines to sufficiently increase uptake among travellers.

In this talk, Ricardo Soares Magalhães will present Australian data and evidence from China on recent zoonotic vectorborne diseases across the Australian landscape. He will discuss insights from these findings to the present and future of zoonotic vectorborne diseases in animal and human populations in Australia.
