The Queensland Alliance for One Health Sciences seminar series focuses on the interactions between animal, human and environmental health.

Rural and urban transmission of chagas disease in the state of Bahia in Brazil

Dr. Reis and his team carried out an entomological study in 145 municipalities in the state of Bahia to identify vulnerable areas of Chagas disease transmission. His team identified the triatomine species in which they performed tests to detect Trypanosoma cruzi.

In this talk, Ricardo Soares Magalhães will present Australian data and evidence from China on recent zoonotic vectorborne diseases across the Australian landscape.
