Planning for an anaesthetic & common anaesthetic complications

Creating a plan for anaesthesia helps the anaesthetist prepare and consider for any complications that the anaesthetist may encounter.

The anaesthesia plan covers the patient’s history, blood work, problems and considerations, oxygen flow rates and fluid rates that may be required.

Common anaesthetic complications include hypotension, hypothermia, hypoventilation, hypoxemia and bradycardia.  The causes and treatments of the common anaesthetic will also be covered.
