Professional development is central to the curriculum in the UQ School of Veterinary Science and this aspect in particular contributes to the School’s “Learning for Life” theme.

Our learning environment encourages the acquisition of independent learning skills and instills a desire for lifelong learning.  Continuing education and professional development will assist veterinary professionals to keep current in their area of practice, to keep updated with changes and new advances and improve their level of competence.

The large and diverse group of academic and clinical staff in the School has established an outstanding record of teaching and research to benefit farm and companion animals, their owners and industry sectors.

The School hosts an annual Equine Practitioners Conference and Veterinary Nurses and Technicians Conference.

Get access (purchase required) to recorded lectures for 2019 and 2020 and 2021 Equine Practitioners Conference.
