Veterinary Nurses and Technicians Conference 2025
Held over the weekend of 5 to 6 July, this year's conference will feature two international speakers, Megan Brashear and Amy Newfield.

Speakers
Megan Brashear BS, RVT, VTS (ECC)
Megan Brashear, graduated in 2000 with a BS in Veterinary Technology and obtained her Veterinary Technician Specialty in Emergency/Critical Care in 2004. She has enjoyed working in emergency and critical care since 2000 and is the Senior Manager of Veterinary Nursing at the Purdue University Veterinary Hospital in West Lafayette, Indiana. Here, Megan truly enjoys the opportunity to work with veterinary nursing supervisors as well as teach and train technicians and students in the hospital. She loves to travel and lecture sharing her knowledge with veterinary technicians and nurses around the world.
Amy Newfield MS, CVT, VTS (ECC)
Amy Newfield is a professional unicorn and owner of Veterinary Team Training which offers online medical leadership education for veterinary professionals. After starting in a rural general practice with one doctor, Amy has worked for almost every business sector including private, corporate, non-profit and federal government. She has held several board positions in the Academy of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Technicians & Nurses including president. After obtaining a master’s in leadership and management she published the award-winning and best-selling books “Oops, I Became a Manager” and “Oops, My Team is Toxic.” She still pulls floor shifts in an ER hospital. She lives in Massachusetts with her wonderful furry kids where you can find her eating chocolate, running in the woods, and diving in the ocean.
