About CPD: Approaches to the problem stallion: addressing psychological, physical and spermatozoal factors this breeding season

The UQVets Equine Specialist Hospital invites you to an educational seminar for practicing veterinarians, presented by Dr Natalie Fraser, DVM, MS, DACT.

Although stallions represent 50% of the breeding equation, little thought is placed on the inherent fertility of stallions when the decision is made to retire them to stud.  This seminar will discuss expectations for fertility of normal stallions, and determine specific strategies to identify common problems encountered in the breeding shed.  Management of alterations in libido, diagnosis and treatment of common reproductive tract abnormalities, and semen processing techniques will all be discussed.

Dr Fraser has recently joined the School of Veterinary Science as Senior Lecturer in Theriogenology.  Natalie enjoys working with all species, but has a special interest in equine, canine and feline theriogenology. Her areas of research include endometrial development and endocrine disruption.

This is a FREE CE seminar and will be held at the UQ Gatton Campus.  A light snack will be provided.  We hope you can join us.

This seminar is worth 1.5 CE points
