UQ VETS provides the highest standard of veterinary care for animals and their owners and referring vets.
Veterinary Laboratory Services provides diagnostic and research pathology services to clinicians at UQ and in the wider community.
Our services include clinical pathology, cytology, histology, microbiology, parasitology, and more.
Clinical Studies Centre
The School’s Clinical Studies Centre provides excellent facilities for canine and feline research, and within the Vet Science building there are facilities to conduct research on small laboratory animals.
Gatton Research Dairy
The Gatton Research Dairy is a leader in subtropical dairy research and industry extension activities.
The facility is also integral to teaching veterinary science students in the practical demonstration and application of reproduction and pregnancy diagnosis, large animal handling, clinical procedures and general herd health.
Grazing Unit
The Grazing Unit provides support for teaching and research activities with production animals, including beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep and goats.

The Queensland Animal Science Precinct is a unique world-class research facility that accommodates training, teaching, validation and commercialisation of animal research focusing on the research and development requirements of state, national and international animal industries.
