Research Synthesis in Animal Health and Production (CReSAHP)

In August 2014, the School of Veterinary Science, University of Queensland established CReSAHP.

It is a collaboration between staff from the School of Veterinary Science and partners at University Melbourne, School of Public Health, University of Queensland, Veterinary Diagnostic and Production Animal Medicine, Iowa State University and School of Veterinary Science, University of Sydney.

Since December 2014 CReSAHP became a member of the Australasian Epidemiological Association (AEA) with a special interest within AEA to create, establish and source evidence-based veterinary medicine (EBVM) projects with a clear translation into practice.

CReSAHP’s activities aim to:

  1. deliver high standard training to veterinary practitioners and epidemiologists in EBVM, systematic reviews and meta-analysis
  2. develop methodologies and standardised protocols in systematic reviews and meta-analysis for EBVM with a clear translation into veterinary practice and
  3. explore avenues to effectively communicate results of meta-analysis and systematic reviews to beneficiaries in developing countries.
