CPD / CE Events

Thursday, June 18, 2015 - 15:30

The Equine Specialist Hospital has held the first of a number of educational seminars planned for the year.  These seminars are aimed at local clients and horse-owners and will cover a variety of topics from basic horse care to advanced veterinary concepts.  On February 3rd, 2015, around 50 people turned up at UQG to hear a presentation from Joan Norton on Equine Respiratory disease, followed by a tour of the Equine Hospital. The next planned event will be held on 7th April in Toowoomba.  Barny Fraser will discuss Equine lameness and the pre-purchase exam.  All are welcome.  Further details available from Karen Mundt or Joan Norton.

The Small Animal Hospital commenced its year's offerings with a CE event for local and referring vets in Toowoomba on 11th February. Bruce Smith and Jayne McGhie discussed minimally invasive surgery and a review of surgical de-sexing with nearly 30 local vets. The next event from this team will be held in Ipswich in July.
