"Flying Scientist" Dr Rachel Allavena is working on treating cancer in dogs which at the same time is advancing human medicine.
From the University of Queensland's School of Veterinary Sciences, Dr Allavena travels the Queensland bush speaking to school students about her research and career as a veterinarian and the importance of STEM education for jobs of the future.
Her research is about the contribution science makes to the health of dogs and how that relates to our own health and wellbeing.
